Dear friends,

Thank you for checking out the Foothills Christian High School website.  Here at FCHS we are striving to assure that all of our students have the opportunity to receive a distinctively Christian education which will prepare them to take their places as Christ’s ambassadors and leaders in our community.

Recently the staff attended a workshop given by Nehemiah Institute, challenging us to educate out of a Biblical worldview.  Nehemiah Institute’s teaching philosophy is well-stated and concisely articulates ours as well:

We hold to a strict biblical philosophy of life. We accept the scriptures as inerrant, unequal in authority and inspired by God.

We believe that all individuals are called to bow before God, to seek Him daily and to live in a manner that intentionally glorifies Him alone.

We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, that He is truth (as he personally stated, John 14:6) and that only through a right relationship with Him, can one gain a proper understanding of God, culture and eternal life.

Our philosophy of teaching includes an emphasis on self-government, ownership of academic work and being well-read from both contemporary scholars and those of the past.

We believe this philosophical perspective accurately expresses truth and clearly describes what an education from FCHS is all about.
