Foothills Christian High School grades in the following way:

If a student is repeatedly late, if homework is not done, if behavior is disrespectful, or if basic school rules are broken in class, conduct grades will reflect this.

Class room Rules

  • NO cell phones, head phones, or electronic devises should be on in class. Cell phones can be dropped of in the box on my desk at the start of class for *no penalty* Parents can contact students via the office in emergencies and leave messages to be read during passing periods for general information. At the beginning of class all devices should be OFF… OFF… OFF!
  • At any time during class if a cell phone goes off it will be -2 points in your citizenship grade. Texting will receive a *Parent Communication* (or PC)
  • Water is ok in class.
  • Come to class
  • Be prepared for class
  • Food (unless otherwise excepted) is not allowed in the rooms.
  • NO GUM in class
  • No hats on in class gentlemen
  • Disrespect for anyone in the class, including one’s self will be addressed and may warrant a PC.
  • Common courtesy if the minimum behavior
  • Late projects will NOT be accepted

Late homework is accepted twice during the semester with a parent note. Otherwise no late work will be accepted.
The advantage to this is if your mom really did forget it in her car, you can still receive full credit. The disadvantage is if you do it three times you don’t even get partial credit.
Do your homework; it will help your grade! No assignment is optional unless it is labeled extra credit. If an assignment is extra credits… do it! Would you turn away free money?
If during the course of the class something causes unforeseen events please e-mail me as soon as possible. I am willing to work with situations, just not a lack of responsibility.

Cheating – Just don’t. The make up assignment will NOT be worth it.

Notebook checks: be prepared, a notebook check may be done at any time. Note books will ALWAYS be checked on test days.

Group work will effect grades. In life sometimes we have to work with others in situations we feel we could do better by ourselves. We have to learn to make the best of what we are given. We all have strengths and weaknesses.

Quizzes are open notes, books and open maps
Tests are open notes and maps

I have read the classroom rules.
