COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will survey the life, ministry, messages and miracles of Jesus, using the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as primary reference materials. We will focus both on the factual information of Jesus’ life while also making practical application of his life, teaching and ministry to our lives today.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

  • Black or blue pen for note taking.
  • Large 3 ring notebook.
  • Bible ( NASB, NIV, NKJV, ESV)

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE

  • Electronic device usage is NOT ALLOWED during class without teacher’s approval. ALL electronic devices used during class without permission will be CONFISCATED and turned over to the office. Parents will be notified.
  • Students are to be seated during class unless permission is given to do otherwise.
  • No food or drink other than bottled water.  Students are expected to leave their work area clean and free of trash when dismissed from class.
  • All other school rules apply to the classroom.

GRADING SYSTEM

Academic grades will be determined using a cumulative point system based on and influenced by the following criteria:

  1. Class preparedness ie: notes, textbooks, homework, notebook.
  2. Homework score or value (varying from 10-25 points).
  3. Class participation including reading out loud.
  4. Quizzes (10-50 points).
  5. Class notebook.
  6. Tests and Final (100-250 points).
  7. Special projects including individual and group presentations, artwork, map work, memory work etc.

Citizenship grades will be determined by general deportment including:

  1. Paying attention to class discussions.
  2. Respectful participation in class discussions and activities.
  3. Preparation for class.
  4. Positive demeanor and productive
