Life of Christ

BIB-301, 302: Life of Christ is a one semester course that will survey the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Gospels, with an emphasis on the Gospel of John.  The class will focus on the historical information of Jesus’ life, while also making practical application of Jesus’ life, teaching and ministry to our lives today.

Summary of Course Objectives:

  • Trace chronologically and geographically the major events of Christ’s life from His birth to His resurrection and ascension.
  • Explain how Jesus’ actions and teachings supported His claims that He was the Son of God and the Savior of the world.
  • Explore, discuss and internalize the truths of the Kingdom of God as expressed by Jesus in His questions, the “I Am” statements, the parables and the Sermon on the Mount.
  • Memorize key verses that support Jesus’ claims and identify his mission.
  • Demonstrate measurable growth in love and devotion to Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
