Spanish I focuses primarily on vocabulary and the present tense. We use the Textbook: ¡Buen Viaje! Level 1 2008 Edition – and student workbook

  • Ser & Estar worksheets and oral practice

  • Ordinal Numbers

In addition, this class will cover:

  • Communication in the modern era
  • Representation of Spanish speakers around the world
  • Maps and characteristics of Spanish speaking countries
  • Hispanic/Latin Culture exposure in every lesson
  • Vocabulary useful in the classroom, home and community:
    Los Colores; La Ropa; La Familia; La Casa; El Vecindario; La Escuela Los Partes del Cuerpo; Los Alimentos/La Comida
  • Memorizing of Bible verses on a regular basis
  • Two service opportunities wherein students can interact with Spanish speakers (to be determined by availability)
