Technology

Basic technology skills have become an important part of our lives. More and more our students are going to need a solid basic understanding of the technology in use today. Developing technology skills can be fun and rewarding. It also builds character by:

• Helping students learn to connect with each other while searching for solutions to tasks.
• Teaching responsibility as they see the programs they are using respond to the choices they make. And as they take responsibility for the completion of a task.
• Helping them learn to adapt to reality by facing the challenges and limits of not only the computer but also of themselves. And learning to better use technology to overcome those limits.
• Helping them to become competent and diligent users of the technology skills taught in the lab.
• Helping them learn that there is a ‘right’ and a ‘wrong’ way when using technology and then making right choices.
• Making sure that all of the activities they engage in when using technology will glorify God.
